While in Cuba recently, I was able to do some glamour and fashion style photography on the beach and in the streets. Either of the two models could have been a beauty queen or international model. They were both beautiful and easy to work with.
The key to shooting fashion, glamour and beauty outside of a studio is to use the early morning or evening light like most outdoor photography. I shot these in the early morning. We spent a while on the beach with various poses. Then we found an abandoned road near the beach to try some drive-by shots with the girls in the cars. Before we moved on to the next shooting scenario I got a couple fun shots in downtown Havana with them. The old cars there really make great props.
Here in San Diego, we’ve got plenty of beach, vistas and city streets for me to shoot your fashion, glamour or beauty photography. I especially enjoy helping small clothing manufacturers and new, emerging brands define their look through photography.
